A Jewelry Tagging Associate is responsible for accurately tagging and labeling jewelry items with information like material, type, weight, and price, ensuring accurate inventory management and quality control. They also maintain organized records and work with other departments like quality control and inventory management to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurate Tagging:
Precisely tagging jewelry with relevant details, including material, type, and price.
Using barcodes or labels to record information accurately.
Inventory Management:
Maintaining organized records of tagged items in the inventory system.
Conducting regular stock checks and identifying discrepancies.
Quality Control:
Inspecting jewelry for quality and identifying any defects or issues before tagging.
Working with quality control teams to verify the authenticity and quality of materials.
Record Keeping:
Updating and maintaining records of tagged items in the database or software.
Collaboration:
Collaborating with inventory staff, designers, and other team members.
Other Duties:
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Ensuring jewelry is handled with care and stored properly to prevent damage or loss.
Following company protocols and procedures.
Participating in regular audits.
Skills and Qualifications:
Attention to detail: Accuracy in tagging and record-keeping is crucial.
Inventory Management Skills: Knowledge of inventory systems and procedures is helpful.
Basic Computer Skills: Proficiency in using MS Office or similar software for record-keeping.
Communication Skills: Ability to collaborate with other departments and communicate issues or discrepancies.
Physical Stamina: Ability to handle and move jewelry items.
