A Parcel Counter Cashier is responsible for managing customer transactions related to shipping and receiving parcels, including processing payments, handling inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. They ensure a smooth and efficient experience for customers sending or receiving packages, while also adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Transaction Processing:
Accurately process various payment methods (cash, credit, debit, etc.) for shipping and other related services, and issue receipts.
2. Customer Service:
Provide friendly and efficient customer service, addressing inquiries about shipping rates, delivery times, and tracking information.
3. Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of all transactions and shipments using the company’s system.
4. Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage shipping supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
5. Security and Compliance:
Adhere to company policies and procedures related to cash handling, security, and loss prevention.
6. Problem Solving:
Resolve customer issues related to shipments, payments, or other related concerns.
7. Assisting with Shipments:
May be required to assist with the physical handling and sorting of parcels as needed.
8. Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace:
Ensure the parcel counter area is clean, organized, and well-maintained.
9. Cross-training and Collaboration:
Collaborate with other team members and potentially assist in other areas of the business, such as retail sales.
10. Using POS Systems:
Proficiently operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to manage transactions and track sales.
Must have knowledge in Computer Operations.
