Staff Nurse

A Staff Nurse provides direct patient care within a healthcare facility, working under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Their responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, maintaining patient records, and educating patients and their families. They also assist with procedures, maintain a clean and safe environment, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Patient Care: Administering medications, monitoring vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure), assisting with treatments and procedures, and providing basic hygiene care.
2. Assessment and Documentation: Assessing patient needs, documenting observations, and maintaining accurate patient records.
3. Patient Education: Educating patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care practices.
4. Collaboration: Working with physicians, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
5. Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients.
6. Equipment Management: Operating and maintaining medical equipment, as needed.
7. Supervision: Potentially supervising junior staff or student nurses.
