An Assistant Manager/DGM – HR & IR (Human Resources & Industrial Relations) typically manages employee relations, implements HR policies, handles recruitment and training, and ensures compliance with labor laws. They also play a key role in maintaining harmonious relationships between management and employees/unions.
Key Responsibilities:
1>Employee Relations:
Addressing employee grievances, conducting disciplinary actions, managing performance appraisals, and overseeing exit processes.
2>>Recruitment and Onboarding:
Sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, managing the onboarding process for new hires, and ensuring a smooth transition for employees leaving the company.
3>>Training and Development:
Identifying training needs, developing training programs, and ensuring employees receive necessary training for their roles.
4>>Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and reporting requirements.
5>>Industrial Relations:
Managing relationships with trade unions, facilitating negotiations, and ensuring the implementation of agreements.
