An Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations, and preparing financial reports. This role involves tasks such as managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling accounts, preparing budgets, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing Financial Transactions:
Recording and processing all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, expenses, and payroll, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
2. Maintaining Financial Records:
Keeping detailed and organized financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other supporting documents.
3. Preparing Financial Statements:
Generating regular financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, for management review.
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Managing the company’s accounts payable (paying bills) and accounts receivable (collecting payments), ensuring timely and accurate processing.
5. Reconciling Accounts:
Regularly reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
6. Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assisting in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts, tracking actual performance against budgeted figures.
7. Financial Analysis:
Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks, providing insights to support business decision-making.
8. Ensuring Compliance:
Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax laws.
9. Inventory Management:
Maintaining accurate records of vehicle inventory, including cost allocation and valuation adjustments.
10. Tax Preparation:
Preparing and filing tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
11. Internal Controls:
Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.
