Primary duties and responsibilities

 
    • Deterrence and prevention: Act as a visible deterrent to criminal activity and enforce rules and regulations on assigned property.
    • Patrol and monitoring: Conduct regular patrols and security checks of the premises, both inside and out, and monitor surveillance equipment like CCTV cameras.
    • Access control: Monitor and authorize the entry of people and vehicles, verify visitor identification, and ensure unauthorized individuals are kept out.
    • Emergency response: Respond to alarms and emergencies, and provide assistance to people in need. This can include managing situations until law enforcement or medical personnel arrive.
  • Enforcement: Detain individuals suspected of crimes according to legal protocols and remove trespassers from the area.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, document any unusual activities, and submit reports on daily surveillance and occurrences.

Additional responsibilities
 
  • Securing areas: Secure all exits, doors, and windows at the end of operations.
  • Assisting personnel: Assist employees and visitors with safety procedures or other needs.
  • Investigating incidents: Investigate suspicious behavior and security breaches.
  • Communication: Communicate with law enforcement, fire departments, and other emergency services as needed.
