Accounts Receivable (AR) Caller

An Accounts Receivable (AR) Caller, or AR Representative, is responsible for contacting insurance companies, patients, and other parties to resolve outstanding medical claims and ensure timely payment. They play a vital role in the healthcare revenue cycle by optimizing cash flow and minimizing financial losses for healthcare providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Claim Follow-up: Contacting insurance companies to inquire about the status of pending claims and resolving any issues that may be delaying payment.
Denial Management: Navigating complex billing and coding processes to appeal denials and ensure accurate reimbursement for healthcare services.
Patient Communication: Communicating with patients about their bills, payment options, and any outstanding balances.
Data Accuracy: Maintaining accurate records of claims, payments, and follow-up actions.
Compliance: Adhering to relevant insurance policies and regulations.
Revenue Cycle Management: Working to improve the efficiency of the revenue cycle and maximize revenue collection.
Skills and Qualifications:
Communication Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to navigate complex conversations and resolve issues effectively.
Analytical Skills:
The ability to identify and analyze issues related to claim denials and payment delays.
Organizational Skills:
Strong organizational skills to manage a large volume of claims and follow-up tasks.
Knowledge of Healthcare Billing and Coding:
A good understanding of medical billing and coding processes, insurance policies, and regulations.

Computer Proficiency:
