Job Purpose:
To lead and manage the legal function of the organization across all business verticals ensuring legal compliance, risk mitigation, contract management, litigation oversight, and strategic legal advisory to the management in line with applicable laws and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Legal Strategy & Governance
• Develop and implement legal strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
• Provide legal advice to the Board, management, and departments on corporate matters, contracts, statutory compliance, etc.
• Lead due diligence, title verification, and legal feasibility for real estate acquisitions and joint ventures.
2. Contract & Documentation Management
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, MOUs, lease deeds, service agreements, construction contracts (EPC, BOQ, FIDIC if applicable), hospitality franchise agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, and more.
• Ensure contracts safeguard the company’s interests and mitigate risks.
3. Litigation & Dispute Resolution
• Manage ongoing litigations (civil, criminal, consumer, labour, RERA, NCLT, etc.).
• Liaise with external counsels, manage court representations, and track legal proceedings.
• Proactively manage arbitration, mediations, and settlement discussions.
4. Regulatory & Statutory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including RERA, Contract Act, Companies Act, Labour Laws, Environmental Regulations, FSSAI, Hotel Licensing Laws, Shops & Establishment, Factories Act, etc.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and advise management accordingly.
5. Risk Management
• Identify potential legal risks and develop preventive legal risk mitigation plans.
• Maintain legal audit and compliance reporting systems.
6. Land and Property Matters
• Lead end-to-end legal scrutiny of land documents (title deeds, encumbrance, mutation, etc.).
• Handle land acquisition, land pooling, JV/JDA structuring and registration matters.
• Work closely with land revenue and registration departments.
7. Team Leadership
• Lead and mentor internal legal team and coordinate with external law firms and consultants.
• Develop legal department SOPs and knowledge base.

Qualifications:
• LLB / LLM from a reputed institution.
• Registered with Bar Council of India.

Experience:
• Minimum 8–15 years of legal experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Prior experience in real estate, construction, and hospitality sectors is mandatory.

• Strong knowledge of property laws, construction contracts, and hospitality legal frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation and drafting skills.
• Leadership and team management capabilities.
• Strong ethical integrity and business acumen.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple stakeholders.
