A Junior CAD Engineer is responsible for creating and managing 2D and 3D CAD drawings and models using computer-aided design (CAD) software. They work under the guidance of senior engineers, focusing on design tasks, drafting, and technical documentation. Junior engineers also learn and implement quality procedures, follow project milestones, and collaborate with other teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating and Modifying Designs: Using CAD software, create and modify 2D and 3D models of components, assemblies, or structures.
Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications based on design requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and compliant designs.
Quality Control: Ensure that designs meet quality standards and company procedures.
Learning and Development: Continuously learn and develop skills in CAD software and design principles.
Problem Solving: Analyze design constraints and propose solutions.
Following Procedures: Adhere to established CAD methodologies and procedures.
Project Management: Assist with project timelines and reporting.
Material Specification: Assist in selecting and specifying materials for designs.
Production Support: Provide necessary drawings and documentation for production.
