A Quality Manager ensures products, services, and processes meet established standards of quality and efficiency. They develop and implement quality control systems, monitor performance, and lead efforts to improve processes. Their responsibilities include inspecting products, monitoring production, and engaging with customers to gather feedback. They also play a key role in maintaining quality policies, standards, and procedures, and facilitating continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing and implementing quality control systems: This involves creating procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating products to ensure they meet company standards.
Monitoring and analyzing data: Quality Managers track quality control data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement.
Leading quality control teams: They provide guidance, coaching, and support to quality control personnel.
Communicating with stakeholders: They collaborate with various teams and departments to ensure quality control processes align with business objectives.
Conducting audits: They assess the effectiveness of quality control processes and identify areas for improvement.
Ensuring compliance: They maintain adherence to quality standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 11–16 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably in steel/metal industry with exposure to Strip and Pipe Mill operations.
3. In-depth knowledge of quality systems, metallurgical processes, and applicable industry standards (API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
4. Strong understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and quality inspection tools.
5. Experience in managing audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2).
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
