Quality Manager – Strip & Pipe Mill

A Quality Manager in a strip & pipe mill oversees and improves all aspects of quality control to ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements. This includes developing and implementing quality procedures, training staff, monitoring processes, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. They also ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Quality Systems:
Establish and maintain quality management systems, including procedures, standards, and specifications for products and processes.
Process Monitoring and Improvement:
Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct inspections, tests, and evaluations of products and equipment to ensure they meet quality standards and customer requirements.
Staff Training:
Train personnel on quality control procedures, standards, and best practices.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality reports, statistical data, and relevant documentation.

Qualifications and Experience:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
2. Minimum of 11–16 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably in steel/metal industry with exposure to Strip and Pipe Mill operations.
3. In-depth knowledge of quality systems, metallurgical processes, and applicable industry standards (API, ASTM, ISO, etc.).
4. Strong understanding of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and quality inspection tools.
5. Experience in managing audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, API Q1/Q2).
6. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
