A Kitchen Stewarding Supervisor (KST Supervisor) manages the daily operations of the kitchen stewarding department, ensuring cleanliness, hygiene, and efficient workflow. They supervise the stewarding team, oversee cleaning and sanitation, manage inventory, and coordinate with the culinary team to support smooth kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervising the Stewarding Team: Assigning duties, training new staff, managing attendance, and providing guidance.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensuring all kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils are clean and sanitized according to hotel policy.
Managing Inventory: Monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and chemicals.
Coordination: Working with the culinary team to ensure smooth kitchen operations and meeting their needs.
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations (FSSAI/HACCP).
Reporting: Conducting regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
Scheduling: Preparing weekly work schedules and duty roasters for stewarding staff.
Quality Assurance: Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
Safety: Reporting maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
Team Leadership: Motivating, coaching, and supporting the stewarding team.
Other Duties: Assisting with hiring, scheduling, evaluating, and disciplining employees.
